This material-saving XPS board knife coater applies a precisely controlled wet coating layer onto extruded polystyrene (XPS) rigid foam boards. Unlike spray or roller coating, the knife-over-roll method achieves >95% transfer efficiency and eliminates overspray, which is especially critical for XPS (solvent-sensitive substrate). Excess high-viscosity coating (plaster, polymer mortar, latex, acrylic, or cementitious base) is recirculated back to the supply tank.
